Choosing school lockers can be difficult, especially when you consider the amount of choice there is in terms of colour, material, size and height.

So here's a quick guide to help you choose the right lockers for your school:

Plastic

Water resistant making them ideal for changing rooms or outdoor use.

Laminate

Durable and scratch resistant for heavy traffic areas such as the corridor.

Metal

An economical choice ideal for offices and staff rooms.

High Level

Ideal for age 9 years and over and are available with 2, 3, 4 or 5 doors to make use of the space you have available.

Box

Wooden Box Lockers are extremely durable, making them ideal for pretty much any indoor environment.

Low Level

Low Level Lockers are best used in primary school classrooms, they are the ideal height for children under the age of 8 years.
How Many Compartments?
High Level Single Door Lockers are best suited to secondary schools or changing rooms for the storage of clothing, but are also a popular choice in the classroom. These lockers are best suited to smaller schools as they only accommodate for one student. For larger schools or classes where space is limited, Multi-Door lockers can be used to better utilise the space available and are ideal for the storage of personal belongings, books and stationary.
What Colour Choices Are There?
If you're looking for lockers for a primary school, it's likely you'll be looking for colourful ones. Either way, you can choose from Coloured Wooden Lockers or Coloured Metal Lockers in a range of different shades.
Inset Doors or Overlay Doors?
Inset Door Lockers are most commonly used in schools due to their durability and heavy duty doors and hinges. If you're looking for a more contemporary design, Overlay Door Lockers are great. They're available in a range of modern timber effects with multiple door options. They are however more easily vandalised so they're better suited for use in sixth form or college, where the chance of vandalism is less likely.
Cam Lock
Students are issued with a small key – inexpensive and easy to replace.
Hasp Lock
Padlock required - gives students the option to purchase their own
Combination Lock
Keyless system that is practical yet slightly more
expensive
Additional School Storage
As well as lockers for personal belongings, you may require security storage for other items. The science lab may require a set of PPE Lockers for the storage of Personal Protection items or a Janitorial Cupboard for the school handyman to store his tools!
